Subject: How to cast shadows in Poser renderings?

Hy there! Another simple question : how do I cast shadows in Poser renderings? So far , I haven't casted any shadow in a Poser render , and was a time in wich I was thinking that is impossible. It is so? In conclusion , how do I load a background , reposition it as the ground , or as a table and then cast on it the shadows of a model that lies over? Best regards!

Have you read your manual? If not, then you might wish to for avoiding future problems. The answer is to make sure you have something to cast a shadow on... for instance, the ground plane. Then make sure your lights have "cast shadows" enabled, and also that "cast shadows" is enabled in your render settings.

Tools :  3dsmax 2015, Daz Studio 4.6, PoserPro 2012, Blender v2.74

System: Pentium QuadCore i7, under Win 8, GeForce GTX 780 / 2GB GPU.

Also, make sure that the lights are in a position to cast the shadows i.e. above the scene.

That isnt a joke, someone before couldnt get shadows because the lights had accidentally been moved below their ground plane.

The most important thing is to remember to make sure the Ground Plane does not cast shadows. I was having this problem. My ground plane cast shadows and then the shadows under my character didn't show up. I also find that if a scene has too many lights, I can't work very well with the lighting. I started out with using just one and now I'm up to three in an image. Kristta

P4 or P5? This might work anyway.
