The green dot (the origin handle) in my screen shot is pulled away from the object, and becomes the center pivot. In your screen shot, the green dot is still embedded in the object, and the replications are just pivoting on their own center. I'm not sure what line you're pulling out from the object, but it doesn't appear to have a green dot on the end.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.
