These are exactly the same scene, one rendered in P5 with procedural materials and the other in P4 with the material settings as close as I could get them. This pretty much sums it up for me. Basically if you plan to render in Poser, you want P5. If you plan to render in some other app, such as Vue or Bryce, or you plan to use your render as a rough guide over which you'll paint lots of postwork, then you want P4. BTW, the materials used in this pic are available in freestuff if anybody wants them. Just look for my P5 shader pack.
