If pop ups annoy you that much try installing SP2 if you're running XP. The new version of IE6 has a built in pop-up blocker.

For a better browsing experience try Avant. It's free (donationware) and uses IE's core libraries so you get all your IE settings and favorites for use straight away. Plus it's faster than IE and sports very efficient pop-up and ad blocking. I
