Firefox is a decent browser, but be prepared to also download many plugins that are already available within the IE client. As far as SP2 goes, I got brave and turned on Automatic Updates two weeks ago. Two of my XP Pro boxes upgraded flawlessly. The other two XP Pro boxes I have I rebuilt the O/S using a slipstreamed XP SP2 CD. No problems on any, no broken software, all four run perfectly on my home network with the EXCEPTION of the Live Update component for NIS 2003. It simply will not work on two of the machines, requiring me to manually download and update AV definitions via Symantec's public FTP server. Symantec, of course, reports there are no issues. Go figure. I also just posted a warning in this forum regarding security flaws on Mozilla products, be sure to read it.
