This is all getting too big to cope with. Just look how many posts there are. But this does remind me of events elsewhere, where some collective activity on a site gets removed without apparent warning, on what seems like a whim of the administrators. And there's always some Captain's Cloak of a catch-all clause in the site's TOS. Buried somewhere in this stuff, it seems that the administrators have done something to avoid a repeat of the problem, with the opening of a new gallery section. Now they really need to think about how they communicate with us. I haven't noticed any announcement of this new feature anywhere else, but I could easily have missed it. And getting the news out is the problem. If I wanted to be snowed under with emails telling me about further posts in this thread, I could click on the check-box, below this window I'm typing into. Is it so hard to write a script which sends an email when an administrator deletes an image?
