Only a raytracer can do that...well, maybe not "only", but open gl cant." Er, brycetech, maybe I'm misunderstanding things, but I just checked Cinema. It's got OpenGL 'rendering' in working views, and in Gouraud Shading mode, it shows booleaned items correctly. And you see the textures. Well, kinda. :-) But it's a quick and dirty display. What OpenGL doesn't show is reflections. So IIUC, what's to prevent people from DAZ doing that OpenGL thingy that Cinema has?
