LOLwell FWTempest, sorry you had to resort to that tactic but as is obviously apparent in his reply, diplomacy, at least in this case, doesnt work. Reprimanding and ticking off the donor of a free item for not conforming to the recipients dubious standards is a disrespectful, ludicrously crass tact. This person should not be at all surprised to get back the same kind of tactfulness that they like to dish out. As SteveJax writes, you dont go around blaming the generous contributor of a free item, as the saying goes, you dont look a gift horse in the mouth. One would think that if you are having a problem with a free item you would first assess your process and after trying all possible means at your disposal to get it to work to no avail, then you would write a courteous request to the author explaining the steps you took, the machine and OS youre using and politely ask for possible remedies.
