Shonner makes a good recommendation in changing the highlight to a color that is similar but much darker than your object color. Also, I've had great luck with the Glare filter in "blooming" the highlights beyond the edges of the object. That tool is in the Filters portion of the property tray when you've selected Scene Settings. Good Luck!
