Go with what you like. You'll do a better job of it. Mason is right, realistic facial expressions can really make the difference between otherwise equally well done images. Don't skimp on the sets, they do a lot for realism. Have bodies/faces that are unique and memorable. Check out the images of mature women by IlGeco at 'Rotica, they're outstanding on all three counts. Obviously, if you're doing explicit images, you need attention to detail on the genitalia. You're competing with an enormous body of real photographs and films. Using Poser makes it different and so probably gives you somewhat of an edge in getting noticed, though there's an increasing amount of Poserotica out there. The good news is that most of it is pretty poor. If you're good, you'll really stand out.
