a site like 3Dvalley.com got the top spot in the r'osity webring? I mean it's a nice site, no foul to its creator, but there's isn't really much content or anything. Plus, it's not even too highly listed in google. it's just weird, right?

not when r'osity counts hits as opposed to visits. the only downside is that members actually count for more than just hits. so is this a lucky break for the guy who has it? i'm trying to figure out who owns it so i can ask him, because something's just weird here. i mean i could understand why 90% of the top15 is actually poser-based (boobies! cool!), but this guy doesn't have enough content to just warrant being number one.

like my position is 611 and this is based on 9 referred members and 1220 hits.

rolls eyes i think you're jumping to conclusions a bit there. i mean all i'm saying is that: 1. nudity sells 2. r'ostiy has a huge poser community and therefore ppl will flock to it from other sites more than any other program 3. nudity sells. 4. that site has no nudity, yet it's in the top if you have a problem with that, feel free to argue those points. I never stated that I create graphic art. ever. i do my thing. i consider poser a very good and useful program that's being mis-used by a lot of horny little 14 year olds. that doesn't mean that there isn't any ART worthy of being called ART, or that I insult you, your family, your house pet, and your mother-in-law everytime i make a snide remark about poser. Can Rendo tell what sites the links were on that sent them to Rendo? Maybe that's what the Web Ring 15 is based on? Number of hits to Rendo from said site, the more traffic (and business) your site brings to Rendo, your reward for doing this being a higher ranking on the 15? I'm pretty lost about the whole thing, really.

I saw a Barney being tied down by smurfs ala "Gulliver's Travels" here on r'osity some while back. Can't remember what gallery though. Poser's definetly the driver for this site however. Just look at the Banner ads and the number of merchants selling poser stuff. I for one never get tired of scantily clad poser chicks. Frankly, I see far more frumpy women and fat balding men in the real world that I don't need to see it in 3D art. Then again I've been told that Bryce has more dimensions than my character. Ah well, back to reading Dale Carnegie: "How to win friends and influence people". ;-)

Hey DRAC! POSER RULEZ! (legal fine print section: ...as a figure mesh creation and posing export utility in support of a real 3d scene creation program.) Honestly poser is an excellent tool IMHO. Zhann, that's wierd. You have so much content and general cool stuff! Flak, I apologize, I wasn't even aware you had a site! Now I have to go and find it! Heh...actually, i think a lot of the Bryce purists agree with Drac when he bashes on poser. Many of us get sick of seeing 150 naked vickies rendered in bryce and thrown into our gallery. I'm not saying that Poser isn't an EXCELLENT tool for creating REAL 3D art, but when exploited for some cheap T$A by all the kiddies with Kazaa it's just being misused. Any program that is routinely exploited for the reason of cheap nudity deserves to be bashed to some extent. Especially when our poor Bryce is often forced to crank out boob after boob after boob from some "artists." Also not saying nudity isn't art, it can be, but often times it's just softcore porn.

Always thought "sod" must be a substitute for the "F" word as the main usages seem to be adjective "sodding" as in "What's all the sodding noise about?!" and "Sod it!" (Although never "Sod you!" for some unknown reason-at least I've haven't heard it used like that). :^) As for NVIATWAS, it seems to be more popular with most people than NVSADNMAA (Naked Vicki standing around doing nothing much at all). Although you can find those until the artists learn a little about actually creating their own poses. :^)

NVITWAS images have become a cliche in almost all forms of fantasy art be they CG or traditional. In a way this makes doing such an image all the more challenging if (and this is a big if) you aspire to bring something new to it, to take a cliche and breath a new life into it, to transform it back from cliche-dom.
