My system is a two-drive set-up- 2 hard drives. I use one primarily for storage. The one that contains the poser program has an intel 4 processor and 40gb of memory. I also have 512 mb of ram. The operaring system is windows xp home ed.The system is also set up for video capture with an ati cature card that was installed long time before Poser was. The only other major program is photoshop elements-again, it was installed long before poser- even before the video card. The remaining programs concern my scanner/printer/copier and ad aware, spybot and avg anti-virus program- all of which were installed after poser. As for what's changed since poser last worked, it's hard to say. I'll get a picture rendered with no problems, then start a new one-and it won't render. I end up having to do the picture in sections and putting it together in photoshop- like layers of animation cells. Then the next render works fine.I've adjusted the virtual memory so the sytem is supposed to be using both drives, I try to clean out the system on a regular basis- temp.files, history, and so on. There really is no one major thing that's changed. I'm almost convinced that- in some cases- it's simply thwe size of the file I'm working with. 2 examples of this; go to my gallery here at renderosity. The Dr.who pieces. The Dalek attack had to be done in pieces. But the one of K-9 interupting the Doctor's nap was done entirely in poser.
