I removed sp2 and now all is normal again...

note to photoshoppers - xp sp2 is a BAD thing for photoshop as it was narfing up the 'transform' feature in the edit menu as well with freezing etc at times

I have 256Mb RAM on a 900Mhz Acer laptop
