Yeah, I would use either Adobe Go Live, or Macromedia Dreamweaver... Word, IMO, creates far too much code and is not very cross-platform compliant. If you have a Unix or Linux hosting account, or an account with PHP, look into PHP nuke as it is an entire content management system that you can install, customize and use the built in editors to create articles, galleries, etc...
