Yep. We did think of this. But, what about those thousands of images that have no click data from the new database table? We'd basically lose the number of clicks for the old images. It wouldn't be easy to use two different ways of tracking the image clicks in this situation. If we think of a solution, we'll do it. But "faking" millions of clicks in the new table for the old images isn't a solution either!
ahh ok... I see the problem :( how about putting both counters...and we will see the difference in counts rather quickly..hehehe - just kidding:) BTW... how far back does the new database table go? Well if a solution ever presents itself it would be cool. For now...the counts in the Top50 give a good Idea for actual hits though :) Keep up the great work. Solo22
I agree with solo22 there must be a way for a better count. I have watched pics get in the top 50 in record time which leads me to believe that someone could inflate the numbers. I have actually tried it to see what happens. Also one other thing, you recently deleted a pic of mine because of the teasor thumbnail. The message read:"2) Misleading Thumbnail. Thumbnail should reflect full size image content." Yet I see many misleading thumbnails with no image or that are misleading yet are still up. Some right now in the top 50. Does this rule apply to all? I did it as a goof to see what would happen. Sure enough it got alot of hits. I believe that the thumbnail should be the pic itself so no one can play games and the rules should apply to all.
First, one user cannot inflate the Top 50 numbers. One user can only register one view on any one image. Second, if a thumbnail is a sub-image of the full size image, it is ok. If the thumbnail has nothing to do with the full size image, it is not ok. It's always possible for us to miss some that should be removed. If you notice an image that you think violates the rules, please let a moderator or admin know.
Ron, these are the options that moderators have when removing an image: 1) Adult Content. Please repost on www.renderotica.com. 2) Misleading Thumbnail. Thumbnail should reflect full size image content. 3) Suspected plagerism of someone else's work. 4) Suspected defacing of someone else's work. You are free to remove your images if you wish. I'm sorry, but I don't understand this reaction to the removal of an admitted "teaser" thumbnailed image. If you wish your items removed from the store, I will contact Jenifer and we will abide by your wishes.
I'm sorry you feel this way. The "Adult Content" refers to something more than just nudity. Believe me, we have removed many, many images for crossing the line into adult content. If you feel any images in the gallery violate the "adult content" rule, or the "misleading thumbnail" rule, please point them out and we will be happy to review them.

Hi, I was looking through the Galleries and the Top50. I remember you saying that in the Top50...a persons click on the thumbnail only counts once. I was wondering if this could be applied to the galleries also. I see some images in the Gallery that have 700+ views...and the same images in the Top50 have barely 300 views. (makes me wonder if some people sit there and click on their own image endlessly) I think it would be good to have the same kind of system for all the gallery thumbnails. It would give a more accurate count of the actual views. Just an Idea. I think the gallery views would become much more realistic this way :)
