Ok, I'll add one of my images, too :o) The first thing I usually do is to darken the shot but only a bit. I do it on most of my shots. In this one I added a very slight sharpening and cloned in the upper left corner as I found that part a bit distracting. Then I added the filter "equalizer". By using this filter mostly the light areas of the image get too bright and so I took away a bit of brilliance. Think that gives a more natural feel. That was all I did on this shot! BTW the "equalizer" doesn't work in every shot... I just play and look how it works. :o) Thank you Jeroen for this great idea! It's very interesting reading your thread and all the replies!
