My suggestion: create a folder in your Poser 5 directory and name it ie MilPeople3. Open Poser and add this folder to your runtimes inside P5. Close Poser again. When you now look into this folderin Windows Explorer you will see that P5 has added a complete runtime structure - no need to copy the download folder or anything, let P5 do this for you.
Next you install V3/M3 etc. into this new directory. When you have finished installing all your Mil3 people you simply copy the !DAZ folder over to the P5 runtime. Always leave a copy of that folder in your MilPeople3 runtime. When you install updates etc. you can always copy the updated !DAZ folder to the P5 runtime and you do not have to worry if anything is in place.
I've attached an image of my seperate Runtimes in P5 to give you an idea.
