Poser 5 on the Mac is just plain slow, (about 25% slower then the PC version). That is insane! So, you're saying that if I'm running a G5 (the fastest chip available mass market) with 1 gig of RAM on MAC OSX (A unix-based O/S) I'll get less speed than if I were running a Pentium 3.0 with 1 gig on a bloat-heavy Windows box?! Someone from CL PLEASE get on the ball for Mac users if this is true... They've paid a lot more for much better equipment, and shouldn't have to deal with a speed hit of that nature.
