Yup, overhere in the Netherlands it was not much different, you had to pay to watch TV/Listen radio, although it was a flat-rate, 1 or 20 TV's and 30 radio's, it did not matter, every household paid the same amount. They got rid of it a few years ago, and just added a tiny amount to the taxes we have to pay. And overhere we could not end up in jail for not paying your license as you can in the UK. ^___^:
