Slakker: You would have to prove that the tv is not capable of recieving tv signals. ie, you don't have an aerial, but that doesn't necessarily hold water.......In the UK you can still pic up signals without an ariel in some areas...although the picture would be crap. They are also trying to make you have to buy a license if you don't have a tv but your PC has a TV card in it or if you can get tv down the internet.... My son is having a row with these bastards. He has no tv. The license peps said 'ok, we'll come round and check' My son said 'You better bring a cop and a warrant, cos you ain't getting in here without them.' And finally (with apologies to LunarTick for hi-jacking his thread) The Government wants to stop the analog signal we get tv on. We are going digital. But that means we have to BUY a box to receive digital signals. That's about 50. So what about us folks that can't afford the digi-box? Tough! You'll get no tv and still have to buy a license..........Sometimes living in the UK just sucks.
