it is the finish line (maybe is not too much visible) my idea is that the slug is on a competition, this may add more sense of speed (hurry) but also increase the contrast. Another intermpretation is that the slug is winning a race with other partecipants (rabbit, ferrari, etc.) so there may be a philosophycal lesson :P (ok ok... I know...
