Truespace has a reall cool light device where its basically a ball that encompasses the seen. YOu can for examply apply a seamless landscape background to the ball. And the result is the ball basically creates invisible lights at various points on the ball and those lights emit the color of the portion image that is residing in the same location. MAkes for sme very realist lighting. Almost to the point you feal like you can touch the model. I think its called IBL. Its been a while.
