First I modeled the rook, then i got the idea to do things from couple other games too, never played with multi-replicate before, so I gave it a try... Here is the link to download the rook:

Hope someone can find the use for it, lol!

Looks pretty good, but couldn't you have done it with cylinders?

The toothbrush looks fantastic.

Isn't that a Knight ;-) Trickiest one to do in my opinion, everything else can be done with primitives. I cheated when I did mine and used a lattice. Great model. What was it created in? Toothbrush bristles are great. I really like the floor texture too.

Yup! That's a Knight! It's a pretty damn good Knight, but it's still a Knight!

I think the bristles and the render itself are intense, way cool... What are you using to model it all..?

sackrat ( ) posted Fri, 05 November 2004 at 9:39 AM

Excellent work,..........especially the toothbrush,.......sure wish I could model(sigh). Good looking renders too.

Very cool render! I can see why it took so long. I take it that this is a "hybrid" model then- handle and toothpaste made in Silo, bristles made in Bryce? Yep, that most definitely is a knight. The rook is the castle-tower shaped piece.

Very nice work! Using the terrains makes the bristles look very real. I don't see anything wrong with the toothpaste.

dvd_master ( ) posted Fri, 05 November 2004 at 3:21 PM

Both of them look fantastic. Although what really made the picture shine (the first one) is the ball's wonderful reflection. It looks so perfectly.. perfect. It it using an HDRI/LDRI, or just regular reflection? And the toothbrush is outstanding. I'm really impressed.

The toothpaste color is very good, but the shape is ... I'm sorry but its very slug-like shaped. Everything else is perfect. Excellent modeling!

Yeah, the toothpaste looks like something Shrek would brush with, lol.
