Yeah, sounds like pretty normal terms. If an online gallery would claim full copyright on images uploaded, they would probably last about an hour or so. As for elitists, my personal experience is that they are usually the wannabies with acceptable work, in desperate need of boosting their self confidence, while the er master artists are almost always the humble, nice guys. :) But if the rest of the stuff is as bad as you say, i personally wouldnt bother posting there. You have some great work in your gallery, and there are other places to showcase them.
