At the very least, check your local bar association and use their referral service -- you should be able to have a short consultation with an attorney who handles that type of case -- in my area, a 30 minute consult costs only $25. Bring your documentation with you to the meeting, pictures, date/time, detail map of the area. At the meeting with the attorney, be sure you find out if the police are allowed to maintain a database of suspects without any confirming evidence. MGD
