Hi Mike,
Thank you so much for sending off a card to gebe. I know she will appreciate it greatly.
As to a background to what has been happening - the following links will best fill you in with the details.

Thank you Dee-Marie. I'm writing her a nice, handwritten letter to go along with the card. I already found the info via the Archive, but thanks for the links anyway. Guitta was a trememdous help to me when I was first learning Vue, and even well into after I thought I knew what I was doing with the program.
Well, i have heard that too, in fact i have spoken to her husband a couple of days ago on the phone. Lets pray for her really but lets hope as well that this is more the chemo therapy she gets than anything else. Chemo can be ugly too. However, i spoke to her several times and she said always that she loves to get messages from all the people in this community. She as well said that idealy she would want all around her in her room. Lets do something for her, she did so much for us. Walther
One day your ship comes in - but you're at the airport.
This is indeed very sad :(. Best wishes to her & hubby, this must be a difficult time for all. Will get a card out this week. Jackson, yes, you can drop card in the mailbox, and yes it does cost a tiny bit more to send international. Our office has a scale at our office that will indiciate to me how much postage is required. My hubby's parents live in Germany & usually a card is around .50-.80 cents.
This is really a shame. Gebe IS VUE as far as I'm concerned. You know....I haven't been a heavy contributor to this forum, but for the two years that I've been visiting here, Gebe has always been a mainstay. I am really glad to see that the folks at Eon are quoting her experiences with Vue. It's a nice tribute to one who contributed so much to the growth of the community. While I'm typically a bit of a toad when it comes to sending cards, I'm going to make an exception and get one off to her after work today. My thoughts are with her and her family.

I am heartbroken to send this news to you, but I just received word that gebe condition is getting worse. I am sending out a request to the Rosity Community to please mail her a card or just a quick note, letting her know that we all care and are thinking of her. Can you imagine how wonderful it would be for her to wake up with her room filled with "We Love You" wishes for all of us :) Please take a moment out of your day next week to send her something via "snail" mail. Again, here is her address: Guitta Schmit Burghild Bertaud Ch 170 Clinique Zithe Sainte The Rue Zithe, 36 2763 Luxembourg Thank you so much for showing her how much we care! Gentle hugs to everyone.
