Subject: Disabled textures in Poser 4's materials dialog

Hi everyone -

This is probably something simple, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere online. Hoping someone can help me out. I'm creating a series of custom textures in JPEG format, using the P4 for PC Materials dialog to apply them.

The problem is that after I load and apply the texture, the filename of the texture map becomes disabled in the Texture Map list, and I can no longer select it.

The texture renders fine. As long as I leave it selected, everything's OK. But if I want to change it and change it back (i.e. I apply a MAT pose then need to re-apply the texture) I cannot, since I'm unable to select it from the list. If I try to re-load it, Poser gives me an error message saying the texture is already loaded. Even after saving the file out, closing Poser, and re-loading the PZ3, the texture still appears as disabled in the list.

What can cause a texture in this list to become disabled? Any idea how I can work around this? Thanks.

What's the filename of the texture? Poser 4 behaves rather oddly if certain special characters (left parentheses, for instance) are in the name.
