Now this is what were talking about. The colors definitely add more depth to the scene.
Just dont use a totally dark sky in the back. Better tone it from white/blue (closest to the city), to black, to avoid too much contrast.
I would tone down the heavy blue on the building in the right corner though, to something like what you have in the left. But if youre going to have more stuff in the foreground, it would probably cover most of it anyway.
A hint of a structure in the foreground would give it even more depth i think. Kinda like giving the superb background a nice framing, and it can easily be rendered separatly.
It wouldnt even have to be colored, as long as you have some lights reflecting on it from the city.
Either way, this is a freakin great entry to the challenge!
Btw, thanx for all the praise guys.
And i keep telling Drac that human/alien DNA can result in a really nasty lifeform, but he just wont listen... :)
