I personally don't think it's a path problem, because I too have Poser on a different drive than C:/, and no problems with Vue. Can't tell you how much I hate apps trying to decide for ME where they want to be; I HAVE to have TOTAL control over my system... but that's a different story. One thing though: Since I have a HD dedicated for nothing but backups, away from my O/S and program drives, MBR, and partitions, I often copy/paste entire program folders to it, so when I reformat my main drive (actually two SATA's in RAID 0, which win XP reads as one), it doesn't get affected. As a result, I've noticed, after reformatting my SATA's, Poser need not be reinstalled under Win XP in order to work, since it has all its CFG info within its own folder, and doesn't need the Registry. However, Vue 4 does need the Windows Registry in order to "remember" where Poser.exe is. Not sure if this will help, but I can tell you, that if you mess with Windows XP's "Restore" feature, Vue will get all screwed up when it comes to dealing with the Poser import, and it doesn't take alot to fudge it for good. But, reinstalling Vue and Poser fixes it. Pain in the ass, yes, but the good news is that both Vue 4 and Poser can be reinsztalled over an existing installation without changing anything except in the Registry.
