Antonia, I appreciate the input. The slight forward curve is intentional and is common in the Teuksbury style of self-bow. Look here to see a real one (the bow in the welcome banner is of this style.I actually tamed down the curvature in the model: http://www.english-longbow.co.uk/cat20.htm The string length does change (good eye). It is a simple prop and without making the prop far more complex than I was able to build in the time I had available between my major project it does the job. In reality the bow has much more curve when drawn than a real long bow. This is for two reasons: 1. Everyone that I showed the bow to in the original proper fully drawn curvature said, "Thats not right it does not curve enough when drawn". Look here to see the real curvature of a longbow at full draw (this is a good pic that I used to show them it was correct): http://www.english-longbow.co.uk/largepics/medieval%20bow.html 2. The Bow is actually shorter than a real long bow when set at 100% scale so that it can be shortened to a closer approximation of a smaller common bow. A shorter bow necessitates a greater amount of curvature when drawn. In the interest of getting the bow to Elfwine in a timely manner I did the work so far. It is my intent to create several morphs for the arrow and the bow, as well as another more authentic texture map to post as an upgrade. I simply did as I was able in the time available. I love the input, it shows me that people are using the product and have an interest in a more authentic bow prop. Thankyou again, diviner
