I have gone into my archive and pulled the ReadMe from the Jin Roh armour in question. I append the text in entirety here: POSER4---Original Character---<[Jin rou] Special Armor Force Protect-gear > ============================================================ The character of "Protect gear" is copyrighted 2001 by Taruru. All Rights Reserved. This may be used only in your non commercial, personal artwork. *** A method commentary to use *** 1.Thaw this zip file. 2.Put it on the fixed position with keeping the directory structure of the file group that it was thawed. Wherever it is put, it doesn't care about this Pz3 file. 3.Start Poser4, and call Pz3file. 4.Open the pose of the library, and register the pose of the initial condition as a default pose. *** Attention in use *** 1.Though a head is locked under the initial condition, this is a thing by the specifications of the mask and the air pipe. Move it on every the neck when you want to move a head. And, do an angle to move by 10 times. It is disgraceful if it doesn't go. 2.The armor (shoulder_armor_L shoulder_pad_L, shoulder_armor_R shoulder_pad_R) of the shoulder is to adjust it to the option with the dial and so on when you interfere when you do raising and lowering of the arm. *** Supplement *** This character is the thing which should be called a beta-version. It is waiting for the opinion of first of all introducing it to the public and let's ask an opinion and sensation and the advice. Moreover, it is waiting for contribution as well to say, texture was made and a neat pose collection was made. Don't bully it very much because it is the first character production... Taruru mk_taruru@hotmail.com http://www.jet.ne.jp/~m-jacky/index.html Animation movie [Jin rou] copyright 1999. mamoru oshii Bandai-visual/Production-I.G Here then is the key statement, "The character of "Protect gear" is copyrighted 2001 by Taruru. All Rights Reserved. This may be used only in your non commercial, personal artwork." I take that to mean Taruru-san intended to keep control over his artwork. Taruru-san, like many of the Japanese masters was a craftsman of great generosity. However, sadly many of them have been taken advantage of, and have removed there offerings to the detriment of all. To show how serious Taruru-san was about copyright, you will note that at the end of his readme he gives credit to Mamoru Oshii and his studio for the creation of the original concept and design of the Jin Roh armor. I am sorry Sarte that I cannot help to facilitate your obtaining the Jin Roh armor. I cannot help you to contact the holder of the copyright on this or any other of Taruru-san's artwork. He is beyond us now. I would suggest to all that his former site will not always be there. Someone is being generous and maintaining his site (probably in honor of him) so that his work might still be enjoyed. As with all good things in Poserdom, it will not last. Be thankful for what you have. Take waht is freely offered and thank those who offer it. There is nothing that says that they must. Sarte- there are many good, generous and helpful people here. Ask nicely and you will be amazed what they WILL do for you. Behave as if you are owed something from this community, and see how fast it gets cold, dark and lonely. I have been far too long winded here, and will not post to this thread again.
