Java, yes! That would be a superb choice. The process isn't intensive enough for the interpreted nature to cause very noticable slow-downs. And, it would be usable on both Windows and MacOS X. I don't think there is anything that can be done about MacOS 9-. ;( If you decide to do this and go that route, I'd be happy to help you out with the Java and Poser file parsing. Of late, I've been including both PNG and RSR for my products to placate both sides.

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.
