Selective Lighting is the feature I use the most from Vue Pro. It allows you to select which objects are affected by a light source. You can apply a light to selected objects, or to all objects except the ones selected. It is a great way to control the light in your scene. For example, you can add hilights to the face of a character without changing the light for the rest of the body. For the pricing, you read that correctly. The modules are an option for people who want only that particular functionnality. If you want all the modules, it is better (cheaper) to buy Vue Pro (now Bue Infinite) instead.
