Hy there! Thanks a lot for your help! Now some answers : I am using Poser 4.0.0.88 by MetaCreations. For modelling I use 3D Studio Max 6.0 , and I have a experience of over four years with the 3D Studio Max series and modeling in general.I first started with Macromedia Extreme 3D 2.0 , wich I think is a very good modeling program , altough very old (the last update in 1998).So I think not the modeling is the problem. I will describe here what I intend to do , maybe you will correct me : I import V3 in 3D Studio Max to use it as refference , but I do not intend to use parts from it's geometry as clothes as most people does.I want to make my own meshes based on the V3's geometry. This is wrong or right?Should I do like the others or like myself? If I do this should I keep the separation lines between the V3's meshes or it's ok if I make my own lines? Can I make a mesh like this afterwards to bend properly over the separations lines of V3? There are any general rules for modeling clothes? And let's say that I have managed to make some clothes , wich I think it's not hard at all to model , I export them and import them in Poser. No comes the real mystery for me : how do I export them , as separate parts or as a whole?I import them as separate parts , create the character and his material zones? And after that what? A little better , this is what I actually do : - I make a shirt for the model based on V3's geometry , for ease of explanation only with chest and abdomen , wich means they have a separation line between them , and they will make a complete character with bending parts - I made these two parts as one mesh , but I export them as two separate meshes , after cutting the original mesh over the separation line of the original model - the meshes are in .obj format , one for the chest and one for the abdomen - I import them in Poser one at a time and I create a hierarchy - I create two materials , one for the chest and one for the abdomen - I create a character based upon this And from here what? Because I need to texture them , and the original mesh has the texture template ugly , so I need to fix it somehow in UVMapper , but how?Don't understand me wrong.I know how and what to do in UVMapper , once in there , but how do I get tha newly created character there? Because the only way I know to do this is by exporting the character as .obj and retexture it in UVMapper. But this is wrong because the models once imported again in Poser , has all it's body parts lost , and it's a whole object with no joints. And this happens when I export it from Poser , first time as .obj. In conclusion , what I do from here , in order to get my newly created character textured and conforming to the V3's body? And , btw what's the stuff about dynamic clothing? What this does over the conformable clothing does? Best regards!
