Have a look at the Most Viewed galleries for both programs, and you'll get an idea of what each program is capable of. Personally I find the Bryce interface easier to work with. If you wait a month or so (?!) a new version of Bryce is going to be released at $99. It will have faster rendering than the current version. In the meantime you could get the free version of Bryce 4 on 3D World Magazine #59 (see discussion in separate thread). You'd get an idea if you liked the interface, then.
