The bushy tails are a bunch of transmapped cones, nested together like stacked Dixie cups. Each cone uses the same fuzzy texture and transmap, but each is rotated slightly along its axis so the pattern doesn't seem to repeat. This technique is very efficient in terms of system resources (only one small texture and transmap are needed for the entire thing), but it also prevents fur patterns like spots or lengthwise stripes from being easily achieved. I can make the tails into conformers for the cats, if you wish, but it's easier just to parent the bushy tails to the cats' hips and toggle off the visibility on their original tails.
