Subject: Problem with animated textures

Hi all. I've done animated textures in the past and there was always a glich: I had to reset the start and end times every time I went to render or the texture wouldn't play and I'd get the 1st frame of the movie file only. Now with C4Pro, I'm trying to do an animated texture, and it doesn't go. Every frame of the final rendered animation has only the 1st frame of the texture's move file. I've tried sequenced frames, (the option is in the open dialog box for placing the texture, but it doesn't recognize that they are sequenced frames and doesn't give me a time slider under it ni the shader,) and QuickTime files, (gives me the time slider under the pic, accepts the animation of the slider for the begining and end of the overall animation, animates the shader as I watch playback on the timeline... stuck on 1st frame as I do the render.) HELP! :( Thanx in advance...

Hi Bluetone, I'm doing an animated texture/rotoscoping right now without any problems but did discover something. There does appear to be an issue with shader updating/refreshing correctly when you start playing with the timeline, though. Quitting Carrara and restarting cleared everything up here. Shouldn't have to do that but it did correct it. I'll play a little more and see what I can find out.

Thanx Mark... I'll give that a try when I'm at work next... it IS a work project after all... ;) Hope you have a happy and a merry! :D
