Imagine has slipped way behind everything else, unfortunately. Lightwave is very capable, but I don't care for the UI or the split application thing. My favorite for workflow is Cinema4D. It doesn't have any such 'wizards, but everything about the UI is very intuitive, especially since r8.5 and r9.
