I have noticed this too and am also guilty of doing this. One reason is that I can't think of anything terribly original to say after seeing so many fractals each day. Another reason is that I often comment on fractals of newcomers for the purpose of giving encouragement. Can't think of anything to say but that the image is lovely, beautiful, nicely colored, nicely textured etc. I don't feel competent enough to leave constructive comments. Everyones tastes are so different. The commenting thing is somewhat of a pain, yet I still feel compelled to comment. Maybe I should just stop. 'jockc' is right---they are just generic comments. What suggestions would some of you come up with? Should we stop commenting on average images (whatever those are)? Now I feel I shouldn't make any comments at all!!! Marion
