Uhhh, subpolygon displacement mapping is a wonderful thing. It means that you get "real" surface detail instead of "fake" (bump mapping). C4D users petitioned MAXON for it and the latest version R9 has it. This is one of the few reasons why I upgraded to P5 (early-bird). That and the vastly improved materials and library.

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.
