well I guess you all get tired of hearing from me..hehe but i got a really really dumb question with a even dumber answer. I seemed to have layed my phone down on the disk that i had my Vicky modle stored on and it got erased. Can anyone tell me how i can get it back or somewhere to find it. I already paid for it once.

You can only buy victoria from www.daz.com if you already bought it from them they should have the records of it so if you e-mail them they might let you download the file again. If it is on a cd it wouldn`t be erased with a phone being sat on it.

Something that will fry your CD alot worse is when you put it in the microwave for a few minutes. Maybe Daz has an insurance policy to cover accidents like that.

thank you I'm not really sure if that is what happened but i know it didn't work after the cordless phone was laid on it. Will check and see if they will let me download it again. Thanks for the advice.

They are always pretty good about resetting your downloads if you lose a paid-for file. And don't worry about asking to many questions, that's the whole reason this site is here...

Remember though that DAZ don't work weekends (or is that just sundays?... No i think it's the whole weekend). Anyway, I've had a couple of bad HD crashes over the last couple of years and DAZ has always been very quick in getting my past purchases back up to re-download. My new years resolution... buy a CD writer lol. Jack

Hmm Never heard that a phone could fry a cd, but why not? It does use microwaves. And yes, Daz will reset your download, just email them and ask for it :o)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Hehehe. I just tried this myself by burning a CD with some stuff and then placing my cell phone on it. Nothing happened, and the CD apparently still has all the data on it, but maybe your phone is different, etc. I don't know. Anyway, just double check that it isn't a problem with your CD reader itself and not the disk.

Email sales@daz3d.com, quoting your order number if you can find it. Having been closed on Friday as well as over the weekend they may take a bit longer to process your request, but should get to it by Wednesday or Thursday I'd hope - V3 will then reappear in your available downloads (with the usaly time limit) and you should receive an email, as long as some anti-spam software doesn't eat it. If you used a RW CD rather than a plain CR-R that would be much more vulnerable - I always make two copies on CDRs

Take a peek at your CD again. Look for some tiny little lettering that says "M-O media." If it's there, it means Magneto-Optical, succeptable to magnetic fields much the same as old floppy discs were. My suggestion (after you email DAZ and download again), is NEVER backup on anything rewritable. You're backing up to keep it permanently anyway right? :) So use a good ole' cheap as dirt CD-Rs or DVD-Rs.
