Go to PCPitstop.com. You can get a free scan of your computer. It will check for viruses, spyware, a failing hard drive, poor Windows memory settings, bad RAM, bad video card, etc.

You may have to drop your firewall while you're getting scanned. Or at least allow PCPitstop through. No spyware or adware will be installed.
