It's not so much the "what" as the "why" behind it. And the "why" frequently has to do with some sort of a PC idea of "fairness".

I think you're reading in things that simply aren't there. Just because you don't want ordinary-looking figures or clothes for David doesn't mean no one does. I think people are asking for things they honestly want. They aren't all secretly wishing for more Voluptuous Vicky type stuff, while saying they want David clothing. You may find it hard to believe, but some people really do prefer landscapes to pinups. Why shouldn't they say so?
