does anyone know what program to use to create Bryce materials?

Bryce has its own Texture Editor to allow you to create new textures, or you can import texture images made in almost any image editing program in tif, bmp, jpg..

I think nightgst means the ability to make .mat files, for Materials, which I would love to know how to do as well. SilverEye

Actually, once you've created the new picture textures and imported them into Bryce, you can export them as .mat files. If you click on the little triangle next to EDIT, the materials palate opens. Go to the section called "User" and you will see across the bottom "Add Delete Import Export." Once you've created a texture, use "Add" to add it to the User palate. Then click on it and hit "Export" to create a .mat file from it. "Import" lets you add other .mat files, such as downloaded ones.
