Getting hold of as many tutorials is the best way to go, however don't follow them blindly. Change some of the settings they use or look for different ways of doing things from what you are told. Dont like a element in their finished version? Leave it out and put in something else.What I am trying to say is that you will devolop your own favourite tools and combinations of functions when you use photoshop. This helps to create your own artistic style, and when looking for tutorials, find those with images that you feel drawn too.
