pogmahone i uninstalled Daz completely, removed the folder also and did a full housekeeping, scan disk, disk clean and defrag have also all been done since i posted my last post on here.
Now after doing all that i still get the same explorer error i started getting before. after sitting and having a coffee then calming down once again i did something thinking on what i did before this explorer error started.
I was having the DSound.dll problem while trying to install Daz so i went and read on their forum that someone else was having the same trouble. After reading what someone stated this person should do i followed their instructions.
Now to cut it short i think the problem may lie in DirectX which i updated today from the windows update site to dirctX 9.0c, i was running an earlier version that i had installed off a disk before.
So it looks like i'll be going out and getting some CD-RW's and doing like Zhann adviced and backing everything up then formatting my harddrive since that is the only way one can remove directx :( drac i didn't think you were being an hard ass in your posting. I know why you asked what you did and said the things you did. I deal with people on IRC that blame the irc client they are using for simple problems like them getting disconnected from the irc server when infact its something they did or didn't do in the setup od the client. Someone told me once, a computer is just like a woman, fine one minute then a ????? the next :) sorry ladies for that but i'm only quoting someone.

I have opinions of my own -- strong
opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.
