Most older writings, back when unicorns were abundant through out the world, described them as more 'goat like' with a long silky mane, goat type beard, cloven hooves, and a lion like tail. Precisely. Sometimes confused with a pale deer at a fleeting glimpse (which, face is, is usually all you get of a unicorn unless they REALLY want to be seen ;-). Also interesting to note is the fact that the natural enemy of the unicorn is the lion. Unicorns are pretty far from fluffy, cute little horsies. They're dangerous and quick, and can beat the hell out of a lion at least half the time... ;-D bonni
