Aye, Higher AA samples always produce a more accurate image. If you are rendering small, such as to screen size, then you may not notice. But the biggest difference you'll see on small renders is when using photo-textures. These are always cleaner and less grainy when using higher AA settings. Do a Search here in the forums, Agent Smith has some excellent screen shots of this process in action.
