I think the problem is that people think of it as a Monthly Contest and not what it really is, a Monthly Challenge. If I'm remembering the original threads, it was originally conceived, as a couple of people pointed out above, as a means to challenge your skills. Getting a photo into the challenge for everyone to see wasn't the purpose of it. It was to challenge yourself and increase your skillset In my mind, going back to something you shot a month or a year or even a day before the challenge starts kind of defeats the whole purpose of it. Yea, there are going to be times when things aren't cooperating. For instance, if we did snow right now, most people in the Pacific NW would be hard pressed to find a flake or two anywhere close ... that's when the challenge of portraying snow would come in. -=>Donald
