The reason that I do it is in product development ONLY! It just makes it so that the current thing I am working on is at the top of the list. It just makes it easier while creating a product. BUT, I take the !!!! out BEFORE I upload it to Renderosity. (If I haven't, then I screwed up and forgot, but usually correct it before it gets released!) So, there is one reason to do it during development, but after its done, I remove the !!! even in my own folder. So the !!! is only used in my folders to put WIP at the top of my list. Once its finish, then they come off. I do agree with you, and its aggrivating when a product comes that way. And I will change it to suit my own usage. That is why I take the off, because I figure my customers have their own systems, and they are probably all different!
